The entire Gesu community mourns the loss of Ms. Shirley Bright, long-tenured 3^rd grade Teacher and Director of the Akybra Theater Program and the award-winning Gesu Forensics Team. Ms. Bright touched the lives of so many students in her 25-year career and service to Gesu. We remember her joyful spirit, her passion for teaching, and her genuine love for Gesu School.

A Gesu alum herself, Ms. Bright was a member of the Class of 1961, a graduate of John C. Hallahan High School in 1965, and Bethune-Cookman University.

The entire Gesu School family has been blessed for many years by Ms. Bright's love and commitment. We extend our sincere condolences to Ms. Bright’s family and friends.
