The Gesu Gospel Choir has been selected as a semi-finalist in the WHYY Lifting Voices in Praise Gospel competition and participated in filming at WHYY on September 9 at the regional competition. Congratulations to these 5th - 8th graders for their hard work and for being honored as one of only eighteen semi-finalists across the WHYY viewing area of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

We celebrate their gift of song and Gesu's Choir Director, H.L. Ratliff.
The WHYY Lifting Voices in Praise contest was created in part to highlight the upcoming Henry Louis Gates, Jr. documentary titled Gospel, which explores African American religions' two transcendent gifts to national and world culture: Gospel music and the Black preaching tradition.
Thank you for supporting Gesu School and helping to provide opportunities, like the Gesu Gospel Choir, which nurture our students’ creativity, growth, and joy!
